For anyone just starting out in digital arts I always recommend the Wacom Bamboo tablet. They’re very affordable, easy to use and get the job done. I have an Intuos 4. The main difference between the two is that the Intuos has better pressure sensitivity which is important for line work. If you’re just starting out the Bamboo is a nice way to ease into things.
